BALANCE-TOUGH THESE DAYS
The covid 19 virus has certainly changed the daily life of most of us!It is harder than ever to maintain daily balance and a positive outlook on life.I noted on the news last night that alcohol sales are soaring, and I see more and more alcohol related posts on social media.Folks, remember, alcohol is a depressant. Keep an eye on your consumption and look into yourself to make sure your not using it to fill a hole.Boredom can take you to some bad places. So focus on your daily balance.Keeping your self in balance is not an easy things for many. I am one of those. I was provided with a daily check list in my early stages of life recovery and did it faithfully for about ten year before it became ingrained into my daily lifestyle. If you are interested, email me at khbray@rogers.com and I’ll send you a copy by return email.Lets give thanks to those heroes who are putting themselves at risk every day to serve others, and let’s do our part to flatten the spread.A good reading follows on one aspect of balance!! Balance

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Norman MacEwan

Aword that is often used in discussing spirituality is balance. In Asia this is often described as discovering the yin and yang of life: perfect harmony. For any successful life we need to be able to give and receive, to make and also to take. Responsibility always shadows balance because it stresses the need for us to be accountable for the life we live; indeed, we have a duty to pay our dues. Family, mortgage, living expenses all need to be paid for, so in this sense we shouldn’t ever “give away the farm.” At the same time it is important for our spiritual life to share with others, especially those in need. Today I’m able to live this balance.

Spiritually I sacrifice what makes sense.
