LIFE CHANGERThere is nothing hidden. I owe a great deal to my peace and serenity to the 12 step program of my choice. It had a huge impact on me, and I believe the fundamentals of the 12 steps offer a great model for good mental hygiene for each and everyone of us. Use of this programme should be mandatory for every living adult!!
I read from 12 Step material daily, and incorporate some of the positives I’ve learned into every “working with others” opportunity I have. Some are sceptical, but those who have the courage to do the work have to a one, received a remarkable benefit.
The writing below is from AA text. The topic mentioned-STEP 5- Coupled with the 4th step that is in advance, was a life changer for me and millions of others.Although in my coaching with non 12 steppers- the bulk of my practise- I use the step with every person I work with who has self-esteem issues- and this is nearly everyone I work with.Low self-esteem is at the root of most life issues!!From personal experience, if done properly, it is gut wrenching work. When I’d completed it then looked at what I had written in reflection, for the first time as an adult I knew and understood who I had become and why.For my 12 step friends, please be aware that I do sponsor many as a service. As stated, my non addicted clients have also received a huge benefit.Ready to change? Want more out of life? Ready to give it a shot??IT WAS A LIFE CHANGER FOR ME AND SO MANY OTHERS.We Are Delighted (Step Five)We pocket our pride and go to it, illuminating every twist of character, every dark cranny of the past. Once we have taken this step, withholding nothing, we are delighted. We can look the world in the eye. We can be alone at perfect peace and ease. Our fears fall from us. We begin to feel the nearness of our Creator. We may have had certain spiritual beliefs, but now we begin to have a spiritual experience. – Alcoholics Anonymous, (Into Action) p. 75
